Granoro Ribe Parboiled Rice is a rice of a medium/large grain with a compact structure and is grown in Italy in the areas of Pavia, Vercelli and Novara. Ribe rice becomes parboiled after it is pre-cooked with high-pressure, high-temperature steam. Dried very quickly, the grains appear translucent and amber coloured, they withstand cooking and at the same time are richer in vitamins, fibre and mineral salts than white rice processed using the traditional method. Easy to prepare, this variety of rice does not require special care to ensure it cooks perfectly. It cooks quickly and can be cooked in advance and kept in the fridge, without losing its characteristics. In addition, even if cooked for a longer time, the grain does not fall apart, a quality that makes it a popular choice for the catering industry.
